John 18:4 Jesus…said unto them, Whom seek ye?

Powerful verse. Judas is about to betray Jesus into the hands of men from the chief Priest and Pharisees. Jesus asks, who do you seek? They said Jesus, He says “I am he”.

The Holy Bible mentions neither of these words “Absolute Surrender”. Maybe that was God’s design because Absolute Surrender is exactly what we need to do. Jesus surrendered his human life to God by dying on the cross.

In my book “Walk To God”, we discussed the term Absolute which means a perfect, unlimited ruler, free from restraint. Surrender means we give up control of our life. We give up our life to Christ as He gave up his on the Cross for US. Just like you and I as well as everyone who has ever walked the face of the earth has put Jesus on the Cross.

It is with great joy that I write this blog to you. Absolute Surrender is exactly that, we give up control of our live to the ruler of our life in Jesus Christ. That is why when the Holy Bible says “You can tell them by their fruits” it is 100% truth of God’s word.  Read my blog on the "True Vine" to learn about the fruits of the Spirit.

Jesus is about to be crucified on a cross in John 18. We are also supposed to crucify the flesh according to Galatians 5 24 as Paul says “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.” reminds us we also must crucify the flesh with our physical attractions and lusts towards others and even towards things which take us away from God.

Earlier in the chapter Paul talks about his own crucifixion in Galatians 2:20 “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Everything we do is for Christ, we dedicate our Children to Christ.  Here is my favorite saying:  Do you love God with every breath you take, each step you walk or every second that ticks on the clock?  is your life giving Glory to God?  Do you sing praises to Him in the morning and when the sun goes down?
