Chronicles of Faith

Everyday, chronicles called news whether published in print, broadcasted on tv/radio/internet or written on-line about people's lives.  Some stories are tragic, while others are heartwarming, adventurous, depressing,  humiliating, interesting, unexplainable, cheerful, energetic, and some are so unbelievable that you can't make the story up. That is the Holy Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

We can't prove God exists, no one can.  It is all hearsay published for the reader to either beleive the story of God and Jesus or not.  There are facts, opinions, and even biases that could be one sided or have multiple angles.  Many of the early Christians starting with Adam, Noah. Abraham, Moses, and many others actually got to see Jesus in the flesh and talk to Him as well.  The unfortunate part for Christians, this does not constitute proof.

Many of you know my story of how God found me.  I was not searching for God anymore than Paul was on the road to Damascus.  I wrote about my Chronicles in the book "Walk to God".  Each one of us has a story to tell, the Characters of the Holy Bible told their story to me which helped My Walk to God and now my Walk with God. 

 Chuck Swindoll has an excellent series on the Characters of the Holy Bible.  He calls them the "Great Lives Series".  I highly recommend you read these Chronicles of the people whose lives are found in the Holy Bible.  He writes about the lives of Paul, Esther, David, Job, Moses, Joseph, Elijah, Jesus and other characters stories from the OT.  David is my favorite.  Job a close second.  

In the end, it all comes down to  perhaps the 10 greatest words every spoken which started "Faith" and each of our Chronicles found in Genesis 1:1 "In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth."   These two highlight words need one more word as Genesis 1:2 continues "2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep"  

The two words are beginning and darkness.  The beginning means God existed eternally before time and darkness which means God existed infinitely in space before time.  To make such a claim means that God and darkness coexisted together before the beginning of the creation of light found in Genesis 3.  The eternal God in a dark empty infinite space when God starts the creation process of light.  Why light?  Because darkness (infinity) already existed.     

Each Christian sect like Christian Science (Mary Baker Eddy), Latter-day Saints (The book of Mormon), Baptists, Catholics, Jehovah Witness, Methodist, Lutheran, and thousands of others must set their beliefs in God and darkness were before the beginning of the creation process.  Jesus was the light found in Genesis 1:3 which allows God to start the creation process.  God had to establish that before heaven or earth was created, The first thing he had to create was the opposite of darkness as well as the same as God in a created form.  He had to create Jesus as the light.  There was no other way possible.   

These two words beginning and darkness with God gives us the faith that no one can take away from us.  Only the God of the Holy Bible makes this claim that He is both infinite and eternal.  That is what makes the story of creation that much deeper even though it is not proof.  We can't prove this but God certainly gave us the blue print to assure us our faith in Him is real.  

As Jude tells us "21 Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.  22 And of some have compassion, making a difference: 23 And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire"   

That is why we need to be "Praying for Change" of hearts as darkness is turning people away from God.  Be the Light of Christ in love to a dark world.  Let your Chronicles of faith show the "Fruits of the Spirit".  Let God give you discernment on the best approach between compassion and fear or a combination of both. 

For me, God showed me His compassion by pulling me out of the swamps of my dark life.  God knew compassion would work for me not damnation or Hell.  God knew  the truth around science of God's wisdom in the beginning would draw me closer.  Maybe for some today, the science of God in the beginning will draw you closer.  My blog, my words can't get you to God.  I can only introduce you to the God of the Holy Bible.  You need to ask God into your life.   Ask him to show you the truth.
