How to Seek

MY son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. Proverbs 2:1-5 KJV
My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and wilt hide my commandments with thee, That thy ear may hearken to wisdom: incline thy heart to know prudence. For if thou shalt call for wisdom, and incline thy heart to prudence: If thou shalt seek her as money, and shalt dig for her as for a treasure Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and shalt find the knowledge of God: Proverbs 2:1-5 Douay Rheims
The Lord provides the way to "fear God" in Proverbs 2. The first is to receive the "Word of God" he has written for us in the Holy Bible, and when you read it, listen to the words of wisdom and place them close to your heart so you understand the word of God. The path of fearing the Lord is straightforward and easy, but as Proverbs 1 said, some people will follow after evil. The Lord has an exciting way in Proverbs of showing Good vs Evil through examples in Proverbs 1 and follows it with Proverbs 2 on how to find wisdom, knowledge, and understanding.
Today, society does not fear God. The lack of wisdom in society is evident to those who Fear God. In truth, we are living in a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah. The world is in chaos, and Revelation tells us it will only worsen.
