Inheriting the Glory of God

Inheriting the Glory of God

Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways. For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous. The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just. Surely he scorneth the scorners: but he giveth grace unto the lowly. The wise shall inherit glory: but shame shall be the promotion of fools. Proverbs 3:31-35 KJV

Envy not the unjust man, and do not follow his ways. For every mocker is an abomination to the Lord, and his communication is with the simple. Want is from the Lord in the house of the wicked: but the habitations of the just shall be blessed. He shall scorn the scorners, and to the meek he will give grace. The wise shall possess glory: the promotion of fools is disgrace.  Proverbs 3:31-35 Douay Rheims

I often here someone say what a mess their lives are in this world or you look at their life, which is a mess. They give God praise, but their actions speak otherwise. One of the most incredible things Jesus did while walking on this earth was that he did not force His will on people. Jesus understood you can't force people to believe in God. There are two ways the Lord, through Jude, asks Christians to help others who are not following the Lord:

"And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh." Jude 22-23 KJV

Every step we take, every breath we breathe, with every second that ticks on the clock should be about bringing salvation to people's lives and giving glory to the Lord for all things. When we go out in the world from the confines of our house, we should be ready to be a witness to the Glory of God. Every time! When we give glory to God, it means we possess or have inherited the glory of God in order to give it back to the Lord.

The world is in chaos, and it seems to be deepening into the depths of pure evil. Take the Olympics; they made a mockery of what some believe was the "Last Supper." Now, whether that was their intent or not, I don't know, but some perceived it as a mockery. What I can tell you is that it does show the depths of evil in this world. People asked what happened to the "Good Germans" during the WWII and the Holocaust. How could they let that happen? Well, it could be said here as well when people accept the opening ceremony as ok.

History keeps repeating itself, as it takes many generations to accept unnatural behaviors that lead to the destruction of a civil society. Today is no different than the Roman Empire. The key we see today is the weakening of Christian values across the world as well as the Armed forces of these free nations.

Wow, this thought process took me to a different place when writing about "Inheriting the Glory of God." These are things that are happening in the world, and Proverbs warns us not to envy or follow in their ways. When you follow the Lord, you will see the Glory of the Lord through the wisdom you have in loving the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Give God the Glory.
