Light & Darkness

Genesis 1:3-4 3 And God said, Let there be light:...God divided the light from the darkness.
John 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Imagine seeing a light stretch across a dark, empty universe for the first time. Like a flash.
When God said "let there be light" the picture above would be a good look into that simple yet profound statement. The start of the creation process with a simple light. Why light? Since darkness already exists with God, the only thing God could create was light.
What is this light? The writer of John, in Chapter 1, tells us in the beginning of time God made "Light" that shined in the darkness. John the Baptist will be the witness of that light. John 1 tells us Jesus is that light which God created in Day One in Genesis 1:3. In fact, Jesus himself says this in John 8:12 "I am the light".
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Jesus is the "Light" made by God in Genesis 1:3. How can this be? God had to create the opposite of what already existed which was darkness. Since darkness would now exist in matter and energy, light energy had to be created followed by matter. That is why when God said in the beginning he created the Heaven and the earth is because all created things eventually die including this vast universe that supports our life system. Those created beings not belonging to God had to also have a place which God calls Hell or the lake of fire.
Jesus is the beginning of time (eternal) and infinite in space (infinity). He is the Alpha and Omega. Everything that exists or has ever existed was created inside this universe by Jesus which in Genesis 1:5 starts the creation process of the earth and all the other physical matter in the universe including the sun, stars, moons, etc... The "Big Bang" would have been in the billions due to the actual number of galaxies in the universe. We know this cant be true that a "Big Bang" actually caused the universe all by itself. It took God to created Himself, aka Jesus Christ, Lord God, inside this dark, empty universe as the Light to start the creation process of all light energy and matter. That is why our God reigns. Our God Reigns.
