Loving Light or Darkness

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
God created Light inside a dark empty universe (Genesis 1). God created Jesus as the Light to breath life into men (Genesis 2). Jesus was born of a virgin into the world to bring the "Love of Light" first to the Jewish and next to the Gentiles (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). Why did God send his only begotten son? Men loved evil and darkness over God and Jesus.
It is that simple.
As you Walk through the Holy Bible, the Word of God teaches us about this evil starting with Adam and Eve being tricked in the Garden to eat the fruit of what? Good and Evil. Light is Good (Genesis 1) making Darkness bad/evil. God made man in his image to believe in God as the creator of the universe. After Adam and Eve's debacle, the lawless generations continued with Cain killing Abel, the earth destroyed by a flood with Noah's family the only survivors, a tower of babel is built, Abraham has sex with Hagar who bares a son Ishmael, Jacob and Esau, and finally Joseph sold into slavery.
We move unto the Law starting in Exodus to Malachi, God allows his people to be enslaved harshly for 400 years until God called Moses. The Israelite's have to wonder aimlessly in the desert for 40 years as they disobeyed God. Finally, getting to the promised land we read that the Israelite's split in two with Judah. It was a roller coaster ride of Good and Evil through the major and minor prophets of God so much so Jonah spent three days in a whale because he did not want to confront the people of Nineveh who were in deep sin.
From Adam and Eve who ate the fruit while God walked in the cool of the day (Genesis 3) to Malachi who the Lord burdened saying you have polluted the table of the Lord and the fruit with it (Malachi 1). Their evil was so deep, God said he would place shit/crap/dung on the Israelite's faces (Malachi 2). That my friend is why Jesus came to the earth.
The world hated Good and God but loved darkness and evil. James Allen sums it up perfectly in As a Man Thinketh "Man is made or unmade by himself; in the armory of thought he forges the weapons by which he destroys himself; he also fashions the tools with which he builds for himself heavenly mansions of joy and strength and peace. By the right choice and true application of thought, man ascends to the Divine Perfection; by the abuse and wrong application of thought, he descends below the level of the beast. Between these two extremes are all the grades of character, and man is their maker and master."
Thanks to Jesus dying on the cross both Jews and Gentiles have access to Good and God. The majority of the world does not believe in Jesus and God because they would rather live in darkness. It is as true today as it was since Adam and Eve. The serpent tries to trick the world into living in darkness instead of living for the Light of Christ which gives all Men who believe everlasting light of life here on earth and in Heaven.
