MOB Rules

If they say, Come with us, let us lay wait for blood, let us lurk privily for the innocent without cause: Let us swallow them up alive as the grave; and whole, as those that go down into the pit: We shall find all precious substance, we shall fill our houses with spoil: Cast in thy lot among us; let us all have one purse Proverbs 1:11-14 KJV

The local news brings us doom and gloom news everyday.  Today's local newspaper headline reads "Man found shot to death" and the next one "Audit spotlights troubling trend for anti-Semitic incidents".  For me, we are living in a third world country of crime.  The borders are unsecure, our justice system is not holding criminals accountable, fentanyl is destroying lives, abortions kill the innocent, and people with mental health issues are mass murdering people yet the public blames the gun not the health issues.

Let me give one example.  A new law several years ago in my state made breaking into cars a misdemeanor.  So what happens, breaking into cars becomes rampant.  I may have wrote about this but one of my friends had this happen to him.  We called the police multiple times after multiple police cars drove by and did not stop.  The dispatcher suggested to head to the local police station.  We drove to local police, the officer on duty said this is the sixth reported incident in 2 hours in the same lot.

Laws have consequences when followed or not.  Jesus gave Moses the 10 Commandments.  Imagine if we followed these simple 10 commandments.

1-3.Love God in all things everyday and dont worship other gods or make things become gods in your life. Dont curse God when things dont work out.

4. Don't work Saturday's but dedicate the day to the Lord.

5. Honor your parent(s). Unfortunately a large portion of people get divorced or never marry while raising children.  there is some truth that two parent homes keep kids out of trouble.

6.  Dont kill people.  If you kill someone, outside of self defense or truly an accident, it is murder.

7.  Don't have sex with someone married or if you are married other than your spouse.

8.  Don't steal.  I am not a fan of Bob Dylan as he is everything anti-God but he wrote a song called Sweetheart Like You in which he sings " Steal a little and they throw you in jail.  Steal a lot and they make you king."  How many people steal large amounts of money and get away with it and never go to jail.  A recent bank was going bankrupt and the executives cashed in their stock knowing it was going to fail.  That is stealing and they will never see jail time.

9 Don't talk bad or lie about others.  Don't spread false rumors or make up things about any person.  I hear so much false witnesses that spread fake lies including a former President and the current President.  Lies or what some call today Fake News.

10.  Do not covet your neighbor.  Oh how many illegal immigrants need to adhere to this one.  Many are Christians.  Do not covet anything that is your neighbors.  Live where God put you and trust in the lord to provide for all things.  Of course, this is for all people but when an illegal person crosses our borders and takes a job away from a current citizen, that is coveting.  But the local Church embraces these people, which they should to a certain degree to ensure no harm comes to them, but the message should be not to covet what they dont have.

It would be a perfect world in we could only follow the 10 Commandments but just like the Jewish people could not when Jesus gave these Commandments, we can't as well.  Why?  Because people are born with evil intentions.    As Genesis 6:5 reads "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually".  If the US is not a third world country yet, we are certainly headed in that direction.
