O righteous Father

O righteous Father

Since June 3rd, 2019 we have slowly Walk to God on how to live a Christian life. Each blog brought you a step closer to this point. Jesus is about to take the next step; in which, he says the hour has come for Him to be put on the cross for all the sins of mankind. This step will fulfill the Law of the Old Testament making a New Testament, first for the Jewish and next for the Non-Jewish (Romans 1).   Jesus says it is “expedient” in John 16:7 that He take the cross; in order, for the Holy Spirit, the Comforter, to enter our lives.

The Spirit of Truth, the Comforter, is here to guide us, speak to us, and show us things to come as the Spirit to reprove the world in three areas of

1.  Sin

2.  Righteousness

3.  Judgment

For those who have read my book "Walk to God", we discussed the Spirit of God.  In Exodus 31:3, the Holy Bible tells us who the Spirit of God is "And I have filled him with the spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship."  The Spirit of God has the wisdom, knowledge, understanding and workmanship to prune us, mold us and shape us to live a Righteous and Clean (Holy) Life for God.

Is it an irony that Jesus calls the Spirit with the name Comforter?  The Spirit does not whip, berate, lambaste or deal harshly with us.  The Jewish Leaders and Roman Leaders and soldiers did this to Jesus before going to the cross.  The Spirit reminds us through pruning the bad fruit in our lives.  Yes, we still need to repent of our sin.  The Spirit is there to guide, protect and secure us in dealing with the prince of this world.  He is there to impart the wisdom, knowledge, understanding and workmanship of God to reprove our lives of sin, righteousness, and judgement.  Praise God.

What does Jesus mean when he says the prince of this world.  A few Chapters before in John 14 Jesus tells us who the prince of the world is Satan as he says "30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me."  The Spirit of God needs to reprove us of our sins.  God who is Love, faith, peace, joy, etc.., but the Prince of this world is the exact opposite in Loveless, faithless, peaceless, joyless.  In the blog True Vine, we read about the Good and bad fruit where many of these are found.  Jesus is about to go to the Cross to be crucified and Paul reminds us we are also to crucify the affections and lusts in our own soul.  Galatians 5:24 "And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.  26Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another."

There is a great verse found in Revelation 22:11 where those that are filthy and unjust in their works will be given their due reward as will those who are Righteous and Holy.  The righteous and holy will have the right to the tree of life and may enter through the gates.  I will always sing your praise, O Righteous Father, Jesus and Spirit of God aka Truth and "Comforter".
