Ponder the Path of your Feet

Ponder the Path of your Feet

Enter not into the path of the wicked, and go not in the way of evil men. Avoid it, pass not by it, turn from it, and pass away. For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall. For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence. But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day. The way of the wicked is as darkness: they know not at what they stumble. My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life. Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee. Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee. Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established. Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. Proverbs 4:20-27 KJV

I love the verse "Ponder the path", think about the path you are about to take. Every step, each breath, and second that ticks on the clock should be thought about or as proverbs says "ponder", Every day i leave my house, ok Lord, where am I going safely, will there be an opportunity to show your love and grace, what can I do to help others, protect me from evil Lord.  These are thoughts that I ponder every time I leave my house.  Lord, direct my path, guide me through the valley of roads (shadow of death).  I see this everyday when I go out, people who are living for evil.

On Sunday, my son and I went to a local sports store where we talked about credit card theft and how those individuals should be put away in prison for life. 100% life in prison no parole ever.  I get it is harsh.  As we were walking back to the car, I found a brand new bluetooth headphones next to my door.  I looked at it and before reacting, my son said I will give them to the owner of the store just in case the person who lost it comes back.  Now, I do want to preface, this is the only open store which means they most likely came at the same time as us.  Did we need to give back the expensive headphones?  Every time no matter who it was.  What would you do?  That question will have you think about the "Path to Ponder" in doing what is right.  Would you do what is right?  Or would you keep the headphones.
