When Jesus walked on this earth, He was constantly reminded by the Jewish leaders about healing, working, and eating on the Sabbath as well as the lack of fasting.  Paul reminds us in Colossians, it is not about what we eat or drink or the days we celebrate.  It is faith and believe that Jesus is above it all.

Christians have started certain holydays aka holidays like Christmas celebrating the birth of Jesus, Easter the death and resurrection of Jesus.  All Saints Day celebrating those who have  departed this world for Heaven.  Each of these days have become more and more secular.

The birth of Christ is now celebrated with Santa Claus.  I know it is pure coincidence but Santa and Satan are awful close.  Easter is now celebrated with a bunny rabbit.  Again a coincidence but bunnies are very sociable with each other.  Jesus is the head of the Church of Christians.  Lastly, halloween with ghosts, witches, and darkness is celebrated over souls going to Heaven.

Now, does this mean as Christians we can't celebrate these once holy days that are now secular holidays?  Just like Paul and Jesus said, it is about saving souls not celebrated holy days or holidays.  Saving Souls, our works in life are saving souls.  Let each day of the year be about saving souls so when you do participate in a certain day or eat or drink certain foods, it will be known you are doing so to save souls.

Just like the first post in this series, what is your witness.  When people see you in public eating or drinking or every day.  Is it seasoned with the Lord of Light or in darkness?  Paul reminds us throughout Colossians, about living for Christ and being a witness for Christ.
