Seeds on the Good ground

Matthew 13:8 But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold....23 But he that received seed into the good ground is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; which also beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some an hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.

Mark 4:8 And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred....20 And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

Luke 8:8 And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundredfold. And when he had said these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear....15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.

 Just recently, a few famous Christians walked away from the Church  You will hear me say over and over what Jesus tells us in Matthew 7:16  "16 Ye shall know them by their fruits".  You can tell a Christian by their fruits with a partial list found in Galatians 5:22 combined with life examples in Matthew 5-17 in the Sermon on the Mount teachings by Jesus.  People walk away from God because their seed is falling not on good soil.  You can always trace a Christian who has fallen away, like the Prodigal son, to which seed they are producing in their life.  It is so easy to recognize where people are by the fruit they are producing whether works of the flesh or fruits of the Spirit of Jesus in the seed that was planted.  

Being a good person will not get you into heaven.  Millions if not billions of good people will die not knowing the grace, mercy and love of Christ.  You can't buy your way into Heaven, talk your way into Heaven, no one deserve's heaven nor can you earn your way into Heaven.  There is only one way though Jesus Christ.  

It took me almost 5 years to figure this out, it is only by hearing and understanding the "good seed' of the word of God being planted in my life or your life.  At the beginning, Satan stole every seed of God, followed by Satan trying to afflict and persecute me in not believing the word of God.  It is true, Satan threw every thing at me.  I do not wish this upon anyone.  The pain and suffering was as close to Jesus taking the nails on the Cross.  He took it for me, I just had to rely on Jesus's word to get me through this time.  He took the nails, I clung to the cross with him.  I clung to the cross sharing in his suffering and agony, feeling the nails being pounded into his hands.  

The seed that fell upon thorns in my life were the easy ones to give up which were my lusts, revelings, desires for wealth and other works of the flesh.  These were unquenchable thirsts in my life which only grew in desires but being cleansed through Baptism gave me more of a desire to seek the grace of God.  To seek the truth, to draw near to God, to allow Jesus to work in my life where i could be holy and righteous for him.  

Again, not that I deserved it nor earned it.  Jesus gave it freely by dying on the Cross for me.     The Story of Jesus is the greatest story ever told.  He takes the nails on the cross after being wrongly persecuted and afflicted from the religious leaders at the time.  Jesus cried out to God why have you forgotten me breathing his last as he was separated from God through the death on the cross but resurrected for everlasting life for those that believe will be risen again in Heaven.  

Again, I went through all three seed phases (wayside, rocks, thorns) to get to the good seed.  Jesus pruned me to the very core of my soul which was full of decay and rotten inside.  Here is Jesus who is so holy and righteous cleaning a person like me and did not stop there by through His word planted good seed to live a life for Christ in holiness and righteousness.  

A few months ago, Jesus came to me in a dream where I lacked compassion.  The next morning i prayed for God to plant a seed of compassion in my life.  Over the next few weeks, the opportunities to give compassion were at every corner.  They still are today and everyday.  

I remember telling God over 20 years ago that Christian music was not good compared to the world.  Some of you will have a hard time understanding this but Jesus said to me "wait it is coming".   Wow, was Jesus right.  These young Christian artists are writing and producing music that is incredible.  They write songs with such joy, they understand the truth of God's word with a passionate voice for His glory not theirs.  I find myself crying and singing out to God in these songs written by people 20 or 30 years younger than me.  Amazing.  That is the wisdom of God through the word of God's seed.  

Hopefully, our youth read about the four seeds and take root of the good seeds.  America and the world need our young children to turn away from the evils of the world and into the truth and love of Christ.  

May the Lord work in your life by speaking the word of God into you life where you receive the good seeds.  Those who have the the seeds of wayside, rocks or thorns, examine your life and ask Jesus to allow his word to penetrate deep into your heart by hearing the word of God and understanding the truths of the good seed. Remember it is about hearing and understanding the word of God "heareth the word, and understandeth it;".  The wisdom of the Lord gives us the opportunity to gain knowledge by understanding the Word of God.
Let the Good seeds bear fruit.  

Those who might be missing a fruit or fruits of the Spirit, ask God to give it you in a seed.  You lack compassion, ask God. You lack Love, Joy, Peace, Faith and any other of the fruits.  He will answer you but you need to be prepared to do the works of each of these fruits of the Spirit.  Yes, works, Compassion, Love, Joy, Peace need to be freely given as the fruit of your life.  

That is why Faith without works is dead being alone (James 2:17)  The key word Faith is alone until you add Works.  Faith and Works work hand in hand.  Joy is joy but needs to be freely given otherwise the joy is alone with you.  Love is love but needs to be freely given otherwise love is alone with you.  It is to be shared which is why God plants good seeds in our lives to share the good news of Christ.
