Seeds on the Thorns

Matthew 13:7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them:22 He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Mark 4:7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit....18 And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, 19 And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.

Luke 8: 7 And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprang up with it, and choked it....14 And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.

Back in Genesis 3:18 it says "Thorns also and thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shalt eat the herb of the field;"  Adam and Eve just ate the fruit from the tree God commanded them not to, so God tells Adam his punishment is the seed of the ground will be full of thorns and thistles.   After the flood during Noah's time, the ground was no longer cursed.  It is a reminder though that Adam and Eve, became unfruitful after eating from the tree of good and evil.  We never hear from them again except when they bare three sons in two separate occasions.  Coincidence, not to me.  

I call these people roller coaster Christians.  There are lots of these here in the US.  Lots, my guess is the majority of the Christians I know thirst after wealth not Christ.  This is case throughout The Holy Bible where it is full of roller coaster Jewish people in the Old Testament and Christians in the New Testament.  The roller coaster people will always be around even with Jesus dying on the Cross.  The story of Noah after the flood the Lord said is his own heart in Genesis 8:21 "for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth;"  

Prosperity preaching is popular, God wants you to be rich as it shows God's blessing on your life.  They ignore the warning of James 4:3 "3 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."  But the warning does not end there as James (5:1-2) continues "GO to now, ye rich men, weep and howl for your miseries that shall come upon you. 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth eaten.'

There is a Pastor in Houston whose Church has over 14,000 members that was recently convicted of selling millions of dollars of Chinese junk bonds.  A similar story in Alexandria, VA where a pastor was convicted in convincing investors to invest millions into Nigerian Oil.  You have to ask yourself, why would Christians invest in Chinese junk bonds or Nigerian oil?  The individuals who were selling and those who invested are now weeping and howling in misery.  Just like Adam and Eve in the garden, Satan beguiled them.   Fraud in Christian churches is huge.  One famous executive in Houston caused the collapse of a $74 Billion energy company.  He was a Christian man that his seeds were falling among thorns.  

There is hope.  For those who struggle where thorns choke away the word, read James.  In fact, read from Matthew to Jude daily.   Live what Jesus said on the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew 5-7.  Read my book as I break them down in Chapter 11 in my book "Walk to God'.  You can purchase it here, sorry for the plug but it is important for people to know the truth of God's words and not trust in the riches which are corrupted.  The word of God is the truth for all to live a life Holy and Righteous for Jesus.
