The seed is the word of God

Luke 8:11 Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God
Mark 4:14 The sower soweth the word.
Matthew 13: 37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
This is the first of five writings on the Parable of the Sower of the Seed. Jesus sows good seed through the word of God into the world. Now, it is up to us as children of the world to either accept God and Jesus word as the good seed or reject God's word and accept the Devil's tares.
The writer of Matthew's version really digs deep into each seed whether good (wheat) or bad (tares). They both grow together. The devil will call up his followers first followed by those that loved the Lord will be called up second with the Angels being the reapers.
One of the amazing worldly books you will see me quote quite often is James Allen's "As A Man Thinketh". He writes "Every thought-seed sown or allowed to fall into the mind, and to take root there, produces its own, blossoming sooner or later into act, and bearing its own fruitage of opportunity and circumstances. Good thoughts bear good fruit, bad thoughts bad fruit." It falls along the same lines as long as the good thoughts come from the Word of God. God's word is the truth of life. It is the breath of God in wisdom, knowledge, understanding and workmanship of God. It is our guider, protector and securer on this earth until we get to Heaven.
Every second, every breath, and every step should be about God's word asking ourselves how can I use God's word right now. How can I use the word of God to bring glory to God? How can God help me bring glory to Him? It is a two way street, we need each other for the Lord's will be done in our lives.
A person planted the Word of God, sowed seed, in jail for others to read. I just happened to pick up the Holy Bible that night in jail which God's words exploded off the page. The truth was powerful that if God created the Heaven and Earth in the beginning, He could prove it to me. What a selfish thought and cry out to God, but God did prove to me He is the creator of the universe and everything in it. My book "Walk To God" is the story of God in me to give glory to him.
I could not have done this by myself nor could God used me without sowing the seed of the word of God into my heart, my soul, my mind, and my strength. The is the power of the Parable of the Sower. It is God's power to shine his light deep into the depths of darkness to pull me, a wretched, broken man out of the swamps of hell in taring for the Devil into God's loving Arms of Grace and Mercy to produce good fruit to bring glory and honor and praise to Lord. Hallelujah. Praise God.
Jesus has the power through the Word of God to bring sow good seed into you, me, even the most vile and vain person to walk the earth through repentance and forgiveness of sins. Once God sows the seed, the challenge is we need to sow the word of God into our heart, soul, mind and strength. The next three writings you will come to learn about those challenges.
