What did Paul say

1 Timothy 2: But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. King James
1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to use authority over the man: but to be in silence. Douay Rheims
1 Timothy 2: But I suffer not a woman to teach, neither to have lordship on the husband, but to be in silence. Wycliffe
Paul had to, just had to go there right. Is it ok for Joyce Meyers, Paula White, Beth Moore, Christine Caine, Bernice King and many others to be Pastors or teach men? Paul laid the ground rules for the Church in 1 Timothy that he felt compelled to say that women should not be teachers in the Church especially with men present. Women should teach youthful women but not men of all types at least in the Church.
Now, I dont agree nor disagree that each of the women listed above have or have not had a huge impact on brining people to Christ. One could argue either way in Matthew 7 where each of these women are bearing the fruit of the Spirit or they are producing good fruit for Christ. Jesus reminds all people including Pastors whether in this case female or male the following in Matthew 7
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
I remember one Pastor in Brooklyn, his family was a mess, you could tell them by their fruit. In talking with the Associate Pastor at the time, I clearly stated to him that their fruit was not from the Lord but were in the works of the flesh. Now, I dont normally watch any of the above women preach, but when I have, their message was not the truth of God's words. To be fair, many Pastors today miss the mark of the truth of God's word. As Jesus said in Matthew 7, away from me, I did not know you. You did the works of the flesh not the works of the Lord.
The word of God is the power of the Lord for us to live a righteous and clean life here on earth and in heaven when we are called. It is not my place to judge woman Pastors. Each one knows the verse found in 1 Timothy and will answer to God as to the reasons they felt compelled or a desire to teach. Those also being taught by these female Pastors know the verse found in 1 Timothy and have chosen to learn from them even though Paul has asked painfully (suffer) for them not to. The Lord has the final say, will they be cast away or will the Lord give them grace.
