What Path are you on

What Path are you on

That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous. For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it. But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it. Proverbs 2:20-22 KJV

That thou mayst walk in a good way: and mayst keep the paths of the just. For they that are upright, shall dwell in the earth; and the simple shall continue in it. But the wicked shall be destroyed from the earth: and they that do unjustly, shall be taken away from it. Proverbs 2:20-22 Douay Rheims

The challenges we face today from a good vs. evil standpoint are off the charts. We read in 2 Timothy 3:1-7, which says, "THIS know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

That pretty much sums up where we are in society. It is so rampant the Lord would have to send a massive flood to redestroy the earth, but we know that won't happen due to his promise in Genesis. You would think life would be easier to be a good person, but evil is all around us daily, causing havoc in our lives who do good. It is hard, life is hard, being a Christian when living in a world where evil is all around you. I see it in sports, work, school, online (cyberbullies), my neighborhood, and daily shopping. It is everywhere, and we can't escape the harsh reality that evil abounds and flourishes.

What can we do as Christians? Next week, we will find out how to walk as Christians.
