Wisdom from a Father

HEAR, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding. For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. For I was my father’s son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live. Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth. Proverbs 4:1-5 KJV
Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend, that you may know prudence. I will give you a good gift, forsake not my law. 764 Book of Proverbs For I also was my father’s son, tender, and as an only son in the sight of my mother: And he taught me, and said: Let thy heart receive my words, keep my commandments, and thou shalt live. Get wisdom, get prudence: forget not, neither decline from the words of my mouth. Proverbs 4:1-5 Douay Rheims
I am assuming Solomon wrote this whose Dad was King David. Parents make a difference in a child's life, especially early on. Does being a good parent(s) mean you will have a good child (ren)? Or does a good child (ren) make a parent(s) better? Does teaching a child (ren) about the Lord's wisdom, knowledge, and understanding mean they will live a fruitful life in the presence of the Lord? It depends. It is like saying good things will only happen to good people and bad things only happen to bad people. Good and bad things happen to all people.
The challenge of every parent and child lies in having a moral compass of good and evil. It goes back to the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and right vs wrong. Eve's compass was eating the fruit thanks to the clever influence of the Serpent in the Garden. Every day since the Garden, the world has been on a roller coaster ride between good and evil societies and people.
There is a real battle going on between good and Evil around sex and gender. Men can become women, men can give birth to a child, and same-sex relationships are considered God's love through the rainbow flag. It truly is taking the Lord's wisdom and turning it into the opposite, i.e. Evil, just like the Serpent did in the Garden. They missed the Wisdom of the Lord in Leviticus 18:22 "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." Just to be transparent and clear, the previous verse in 20 talks about having sex (lie) with your neighbor's wife, and the verse in 23 talks about having sex (lie) with animals.
The Lord's wisdom has always been used to defeat Christians. Just recently, several prominent Christian pastors have left their Church due to immorality. The Lord's wisdom can only be found in reading the Holy Bible. Even today's teachings about the Lord at Church or elsewhere can and should be verified through the understanding of the Holy Bible—God's word.
Here are several examples of other key figures who have the say as I say you do, not as I do. One of the most known self-help gurus talked about marriage only to divorce his wife to marry a younger woman. A well-known sex therapist had multiple husbands. A marriage therapist divorced a few times.
Lastly, I will leave you with ethics, economics, and Evil. The triple e's! The world is run on economics. On one side is Ethics, and on the other, Evil. Just like everything in modern-day society, Evil has overtaken Ethics. It is being played out daily. It is about individuals who have chosen the path of Evil over Ethics. Our society especially parents need to turn back to the Wisdom of the Lord in all things. The words of Wisdom the Lord provided to Solomon can guide us through the evil days ahead. Read your Holy Bible every day, and learn the truth of God's word.
